Has anyone had any problems with the reverse camera? the one in my car works when it feels like it. On a bad day, all I get is a black screen.

Wonder if it is a small problem or just a connection problem. '01 1.8i Freelander. Grey/ grey

Hi Mercuryf1, I've just bought a my10, and the reverse camera doesnt work at all. its booked in next week at Lookers. First thing they said to me was - is the lens of the camera clean! I had cleaned it, but there is a known fault the reversing cameras - I believe they've had a few fail.
They're going to run some checks and replace if necessary under warranty

Hi richardC! Thanks for your reply. I took the car to the Land rover official dealer here in Malaysia. They refused to start work on the car unless I pay them a one time up-front fee of GBP1,000 since I did not buy the car from them but bought the car from an independent dealer. The car did not come with any warranty too. It would be great if you could keep us informed on what Lookers did to rectify your problem of the reverse camera!
