Hi Everyone,

I was recommended this site by quite a few people so just wanted to say hello and ask a question.....1st of many I fear!

I recently picked up a 2002 4.4 vogue for a very reasonable price but it is not without its minor niggles. I would like to take it to a local independent specialist to have a look over and hopefully resolve these at a reasonable cost.

Do you have any recommendations for independents in Cheshire that I could take it to? I currently have another car that I can use so its no issue to leave the car for a while with them while they sort it for however long they want.

By the way its a great car, a hell of a lot more luxurious than I expected. My wife used to have an X5 but this is 10 times the car and I have only driven it on the road so far.

I've been reccomended a place near trafford park a few times and can get you his details if you want?

Theres on LR specialist that has a few small workshops but they are always massively overbooked for weeks in advance.. Could mean they are good or bad but you never know and im never willing to try with a place that has a waiting list longer than a new LR product... FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

I'm in Congleton and can vouch for LRC. Family run, reliable and honest - but can be busy.

Bought mine from there and they've been really good ever since re servicing etc.

I used Ian Barclay 4x4 in Birkenhead. He changed the alternator and belt for £575 all in. Under half of what LR Chester wanted. Very knowledgable guy. MOT's as well.

Ours needs the usual service and mot, but Id also like to get the lo range switch and fbh checked out as they are not working as they should so best to get them checked out!
