Just been to eurocarparts in Aberdeen.
Needed a new S5 battery for the FFRR. With the discount code they were only a tenner more than online, so I thought it worth it as I would get the battery today.
Had to reserve online to get the discount, so I did that on my iPad infront of the guy. I then paid £122.
They then brought the battery through. It was wet, it had mud on it and a big sticker on top with some hand written text.
I said, eh that's not on, do you have another one as it did not look new.
Guy looked at me with a funny look and said the guy that brought it through probably had wet hands.
I said no, the side is all wet and the mud and scrapes suggest it's been on its side.
He picked the battery up then walked to the door of the warehouse, opened it, then lashed the battery onto the floor.
It made such a bang someone else shouted at him.
He then tells me they have no more in stock. I asked him why he just did that to the battery, he says it's heavy and would I like to try it??...... Right, enough, money back please.
It took him 2 attempts on the card machine to refund me. At the first attempt he said "sorry, I seem to have voided that, oh dear we will have to start again"
When I got my refund he said goodbye. I said get your manager please.
Why? He says, do you want to grass me up?
Yes, said I....
Manager comes through, tell him the story, he apologised, said he would deal with the muppet.
I leave.... Still need a battery tho'..
What a he was...... How to lose a customer forever! Previously..

Anyway, I have just purchased one from the same company, but online. I do like the idea of being able to take it back if there is a problem... It'll just not be Aberdeen I go to! Previously..

GSF always seem miles better in this respect and i have used them for 13+yrs without any issues and always super customer service but use ECP to save some pennies sometimes with their free delivery which is about the same as managers discount at GSF  FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Have used ECP a few times in Derby and they have always been spot on. Their batteries always seem to have the handwritten label on the top, think it must be stock control of some description.

I have ordered a few batteries off them and taken a few back, was always treated ok to be fair, just been in for a new rear pad wear sensor after breaking mine greaseing the pads, forgot to take it off.

However that id no excuse for poor customer service/tantrums in any case. Hope the chappie gets a stiff talking to. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
