United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Westminster 4.4 V8 Stornoway Grey
Weight

Sport SE V6 diesel= 2535kg

2013 Range Rover V6 diesel = 2160kg
2013 Range Rover V8 diesel = 2360kg

I never realised how much weight saving the new models had.

Never found any confirmation, but it seems they might quote Italian-style dry weights because the tested weights are always higher (both L322 and L405). Autocar's test SDV8 weighed 2625 kg against 2360 kg quoted (although I believe they test with two people and a tank of fuel); NCAP TDV6 2313 kg vs 2160 kg quoted.

All weights were taken off the Landrover web pages so would expect them to be representive of the improvements made.

Of course actual weights could be higher depending on specs and fluid levels etc.

They have publicised that the new model is around 400kg lighter. Hence improved fuel consumption that all manufacturers have to follow these days etc

Yes, lighter than the L322, but still significantly heavier than the original Range Rover.

The sport is heavier than the 322 so the 405 must be lighter than both... Simples... Wink

Strange comments about the L322 being lighter than the Sport as a 2010 L322 diesel is quoted as being 2710kg, making the L322 175kg heavier.

All weights taken from TOPix handbooks.

Think it was model dependant: some of the late tdv8s were getting on the porky side, but I read that weights ranged from 2415-2710 x
