Sister Sites Disco 3.co.uk & RRsport.co.uk

Hi Guys, I have been having a look at these two sites and wondered if any of you had looked at them or registered with them etc.. They seem to have a lot more members and lots of contributors to the site?

Regarding the other sites do you have to register seperately with each or can you just join with the FFRR ligin etc..

You could try with your existing username and password and see? But I think you would need to register separately....

I was originally a member of the RRSport forum when it first started and became a moderator there for some time - what I didn't know about RRS's was not worth knowing! Laughing

Then Martin created this ite and I moved over, so you're stuck with me here instead.

There's alot more off-topic stuff, jokes, and general thread hijacking over there I felt, people trying to boost their number of posts rating just by adding stupid stuff, I got annoyed with it and then hardly visitied.

Thats why i like this site (for now!) as members have proper questions rather than just wasting time at work.... Discovery 4 HSE

I apologise if I have mis-interpreted your post...are you saying your not happy with off-topic stuff and jokes? There is an off topic section on here Wink

With regarding thread hijacking, as the thread gets bigger, thread hijacking is inevitable, or going slightly off-topic is common. I don't necessarily believe members adding "stupid stuff" were trying to boost their post count.
I supposed I did that last night, but only to have a bit of fun and a laugh, and not trying to boost my post count...IMO a forum should be fun, rather than all serious and that means an occassional stupid stuff and jokes, of course serious questions as well, so members could share the knowledge Thumbs Up

Sorry for the badly constructed sentences Embarassed

got nothing against the fun side, but there were a few people who were totally focussed on the being the higest poster. It got out of hand at times.
