Got an Evoque Courtesy Car

Not as bad as I expected. Got a good cabin feel, but cannot get to grips with the overly large wheels, huge door mirrors and three door "squashed" styling.

Rgardless though, I can see why it is badged as Range Rover despite the flaming I will get on here. Its a Luxury Freelander just like, once upon a time, the RR Classic was the luxury alternative to a Land Rover 2011 Stornaway Grey 5.0SC Autobiography

no, totally get it... they are nice cars for sure.
They do look a bit sat on.
LR has this tendance to let Gerry McGovern and the PR men loose every so often (Original freelander too)
I have to say that Evoque may be seen as the fad car of the early 2010s tho!
Hopefully it will endure, I like to see the company doing well.

I think the main reason it has a RR badge is to get the overall emissions for the range down to a low average...
As in Aston Martin IQ.. Previously..
Vogue SE TD6
Defender 90 2.4
Defender 110 TD5
Vogue 3.5 EFI

yeah, counts as LR as a whole...
The reason is clear, being that you can charge twice as much for what is essentially a freelander!

Although have you seen the price of a FL2 recently. The first courtesy car was one and it was up at £32k used. Shocked 2011 Stornaway Grey 5.0SC Autobiography

I really like it but the price is way over the top.
If it was £30000 for a good spec one then i would consider one.
Most of the ones I looked at well over £40000

Yeah... don't get much LR goodness for your buck these days sadly!
In some ways a base FL2 is a tempting proposition though...

Had a look at the Configurator and there is no spec of note which is less than £40k for an Evoque. The one I am in is about £42k, but does put evoque shapes in the puddle lights so that makes it worth it Laughing 2011 Stornaway Grey 5.0SC Autobiography

yep, because people basically want the automatic, so there goes £32k, most people fancy a prestige spec... and we're in the 40s...

I think it's actually JLR - but may be wrong.
