my thoughts, range comes down hill, loose control and near side rear hits wall/post and spins round...driver very embarrassed and leaves range and then it snows and gives it a light covering.. ... - .- -.

It does have some snow under the front half, I would say the heat radiated from the hot exhaust may have melted the snow (same as where I parked mine) its relatively warm here so doesnt take a lot to melt it. Knowing how steep that hill is no recovery truck would attempt to move that. One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching!

As you say - spin that view round 180 degrees and it's most likely to have lost control higher up.

Lost it on the ice, then it snowed afterwards.

Ooh bit of Range Rover hatred going on in that blog.

As someone who used to own the old shape X5 4.8is with the standard 335 section rear tyres which I drove in snow, and also having got a D3 stuck on wet and muddy grass Embarassed , I am all to aware of how tyres and the drivers skill are probably the most important factors. Without either, its just a 2.5 tonne sledge! I am sure that most sensible drivers of FFRR's are equally aware.

Strangely the vehicles I see going fastest in these conditions are vans and 4x4 pickups Whistle

Still, never let the facts get in the way of a good story!
