Good deed for the day

Towed out a furniture delivery van from the lane leading down to one of our local farms, front wheel drive Fiat similar to a Transit Luton but a bit bigger. Four Polish guys from London, been stuck for 3 hours so very grateful for the help.

Had to tow them 1/4 mile in reverse as the lane is so narrow I couldn't turn round, no problem though.

Cheers

Chris Life should be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving skidding in sideways, Merlot in one hand, Cigar in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming WOO HOO what a ride!

Careful going too far in reverse, I have a mate works for the local stealer (in the jag section) they had a RR come in owned by sussex police that had reversed down the motorway for god knows how long and it was so badly damaged it needed a new engine. One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching!

Not sure but apparently it was due to overheating, no air going thru the rad, it did reverse quite a way though. One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching!

Blimey, must have been miles on the rev limiter.
Unless it wasn't a thermally efficient diesel.

Good on you OP, nice to help people out.
Even if it does mean your engine will explode. Wink

For that reason (backing up fast on the emergency lane) the Dutch Highway police specced the 911 for years because the motor would be cooled going back as well. They had the targa version so the passenger could stand up to direct traffic.

Nice one on helping the van !!! MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!
