I'm mildy disappointed to be honest. I've found mine behaves far to civilised on snow/ice which means I don't need to use Terrain Response. That means I coulda bought one a few years older which would have saved money and given me comfier seats |

^^^^^^^^ exactly this. Drama free driving, although almost got rear ended by a plonker following too close and not allowing space to slow down - we were intending to turn off main road on an slight downhill, off camber corner when I see a Subaru estate slithing around in the rear mirror |

Thats the problem too many hero's doing the im not afraid of the snow look at me routine, followed by sorry mate didnt realise how slippy it was. One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching!

What year did terrain response become standard on the ffrr? And is there any point having it if you dont go off roading or anything fancy like that? |

MY2007 cars onwards, so some 56 plates but mainly the 07+ plates. Doesn't make a huge difference but it does change the gearbox behaviour and the throttle map so you don't have to tread gingerly. However if you're not a clod-footed oaf like me you should be ok with out it |

marvelous. The most standard rangey with no gizmos can cope better than pretty much everything on the road anyway. |

Drove mine from Nottingham to Yorkshire in absolute comfort today, plenty of snow when I got home, here is a little bit of my road from my Blackview :

Its a bit quiet Stan, luckily I live on the same road as a dairy farmer so he keeps the roads clear for the milk tanker |
