Bm54 upgrade

Going to send a unit off to Batis for an upgrade. Anyone know the diference between the ipod/iphone connector, or the bluetooth streaming upgrade? Is there any diference or do they show on the screen like the same aux. input? Going to do the amp upgrade & firmware upgrade, but also want to ad my ipod/phone

It will show up as just aux!

All controlling will have to be done with the iPod/iphone

I'm about to get the update to the BM 54 too. Music streaming is the way I'm going, Ive got this in my Disco 2 and love the feature but I was also going to take the Aux input too, now not sure whether you can have both? 2002 Vogue Epsom Green with Ivory Leather.

Good point, don't know. If they can only use one input you will have to make a choice I guess..

Yes, you can have all 3 installed at the same time. Thumbs Up

I did an iPod cable and Bluetooth for someone few weeks ago. In theory, if you have a device playing on both, both music will come out at the same time. Good for DJs lol

Actually, if you use a Dension, Grom, Intravee or one of the other many adapters avail, you have the iPod in over the Cd changer input with control via the head unit. And your Aux remains free for whatever else.

Maybe there is a way to split that, so one can have both. I would love to have it "on screen" but don't want to throw the MP3 player in the trashcan..

Unless I am misunderstanding you, this is what I said in my previous post.
You press the 'mode' button twice and get to the iPod control (CD Changer) and 3 times to get to the Aux In.

And if you use the Intravee and swap to an Alpine CD changer, you can even keep that as well.

That's what I meant, to have both Ipod and MP3 on screen.
