I don't believe it is the FFRR it is just common driver behaviour.

When I leave work I have to turn left (would be a moron trying to turn right but some still try!) onto a busy single carriage A Road limited to 50mph. Most of the time you have to wait for a break in the traffic, but when it slows up due to lights further down, it amazes me how other drivers, who are now stopped in front of me, can't see me, patiently waiting, indicators on, vehicle positioned correctly, light up like a Christmas tree (see mod posts ).

Makes no difference if I am in a FFRR/Audi/Ka.

Although I tell you what... when I borrow my daughter's Ka to go to work, I don't half get some rough treatment of other drivers on the motorway. Only lorries and Defenders get the better of me when in the FFRR... .

I find people to be quite corteous to the FFRR - maybe because its a nice understated silver colour  2007 Zermatt Silver TDV8 Vogue SE - now sold but was a great car!

I find in Switzerland people are courteous regardless of which car.

In Germany people are slightly less courteous regardless of which car.

In France people are tw@s regardless of which car.

In Italy people are tw@s when I'm in the Full Fat and less so when I'm in my sports car.

These are stereotypes, and there are plenty of exceptions of Swiss being tw@s and French and Italians being courteous, just like not all French and Italians surrender.

Here's a funny one! I was waiting to cross the severn bridge a while ago and for once in my life, i waited my turn joining from the slip road in lots of traffic. A young chap in a golf took offence to me breathing! And was not going to let me in (twisting in his seat to judge the gap out of his pass window) when a second goes buy and he obviously hit the throttle too hard and stuffed it into the rear of a Freelander 2 he was following we p d ourselves laughing drove around the freelander and took his place...

No problem here either however like Cheshire this part of Herts/Bucks is Range Rover every 5th car.

i don't get this at all here in *Krautland* since i have the FFRR (people are scared that i hurt their car) - BUT in the DBS it was a constant headache .....  All my spelling errorz are belong to me!

Oddly enough, I don't have much trouble being let out of junctions in the RR. People have even been known to stop on the main carriageway to let me cross their path when I want to turn right - this one always amazes me, not least because it's not very sensible of them!

The curious thing is on narrow roads - I tend to pull over at the widest point to let people past (then it's their fault if they hit me ) but many people will stop and flash me on even if I can see I can't get through the gap they've left.

It's very strange. People are much more likely to let me out in the RR than they ever were in the Volvo. Although that said, my Roadster is the perfect "let me out" car - people will always let that out. I have no idea why!

It's not jealousy.
They just don't want to be stuck behind large vehicles in my experience because it reduces the view down the road.
I used to get it too.

In the GT-R you get out a lot because people want to have a look.

Never had too much of a problem either, TBH i used to not get let out in the BMW's, but in the FF it is pretty smooth sailing, it seems to depend on where you are driving, in the countryside round here there are a lot of LR cars of all types and they are not an uncommon sight. However venture into town and the attitude changes slightly, Dont think most people are jealous as such just less inclined to let anyone out nowadays.

On the jealousy front, i had to go to pick up some parts from the toyota MD for the hilux today and got a nice comment re the snow and ff from the nice girl on reception, stopped short of offering her a lift home though.....  There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
