Chaps - no need for knickers to be twisted . . . . . the above (first) post by Gary will be for NEW, ie 1st issue, driving licences.
All you fuds out there needn't worry . . . . no offence, I'm also pre '97 ! Whistle

ALZ : If by "towing by a caravan over the weight limit" you are referring to driving licence issues, you're looking at "Driving Otherwise Than In Accordance With A Licence".
Practically what does that mean ? = Seizure of vehicle / recovery & storage costs / Fine / Points. Sorry I can't be more specific as I left "the job" last year . . . a current officer may be able to clarify !

I had all the categories discussed previously on mine incl. C + E etc, but have had to go back to scratch due to medical restrictions Evil or Very Mad

Ho hum !

Thumbs Up Where do you go after one of these . . . ?

^ So to be clear us oldies will not be effected in any way unless we have a medical condition when our existing licences expire at age 70?

Yep, Gary - that's my understanding.

DVLA don't issue "new" driving licence regs. retrospectively . . .

Clear as mud.

Thumbs Up Where do you go after one of these . . . ?

Wow, all those rules must keep you guys very safe!
Why, I'll bet no one ever has an accident!

Over here, if you can hook it on you car, you can tow it.
Which explains some of the Censored I see on the highway every day.

No size limits, unless you're in New York City, in which case you cannot have a soft drink larger than 32 oz. Jim
