Where am I ?

Was out tonight looking for an address, when all of a sudden the Sat nav tells me I'm in the middle of a field, nowhere near where I should be. Icon still moving, but in totally wrong place Confused

Any ideas? Could the cold affect the receiver, I'd driven about 40 miles in -6° temps.

Was on A19, not a new section, but a part that's always been the same..

How does GPS signal work? Is it possible for car to lose it, but phone still receive it? I ask, because I continued journey using Google maps - which worked well Thumbs Up

cold and wet outside, warm inside, makes ideal conditions for condensation so its possible that some moisture might have got in the antenna connections or into the modules...once the weather gets dryer you'll probably find all is well again... ... - .- -.

Very likely water/moisture ingress into the GPS antenna. Common issue when Sat Nav loses its way. GPS Icon top left of screen will have a red line through it....
