Xbox steering wheel?

Can anyone advise a good steering wheel/pedal product for use with Xbox driving games? Xbox was my sons top Christmas present this year but I need to ween him off the football stuff and onto some sega rally etc ( quite fancy a go myself also!)
How much will I need to spend, what make and buy from where, any advice gratefully received. Thanks.

Gerymor,
Do you live close to Hathersage or Grindleford, may have got 1 stashed away that you can have FOC if its compatible with your console. Banished back to RRS for the moment !!!

Hello Seepee, Yes, I'm near Buxton. Any idea what it is, maybe I could find out if it's compatable with Xbox. Why was it not good for you? I could pop to you one evening or weekend or meet somewhere, whatever suits you. thanks, Gerymor

Hi Gerymor,
It was my sons,he's grown up now and at University but not sure which console it was for.
Will have a look tonight and take a picture of it and the plug and post it up.
If it will work happy to meet up at say Ashford in the Water near Bakewell.
Cheers,

Hi gerymor,
Sorry for the delay had problems logging in at home and had to reset my password.
It's a Logitec Driving Force.
I've put some pictures below of the steering wheel, pedals and connectors which we think may have been used with his PS2 originally so not sure if its compatible with your XBox.

The USB is for the wheel and the phone type connector is for the pedal box.

Hi Chris, really great photos, looks good equipment but unfortunately it will not work with the Xbox! I've checked on a number of the forums and apparently Xbox is Microsoft and your Logitech is diferent technology so no go. A big shame because of your kind offer thank you . It's probably worth putting it onto eBay if you can be bothered cos it looks great and the new ones are £200+.
Anyway, I initially posted my search to find a wheel which was 'recommended' rather than just 'guess' and now I've learnt that those commercially savvy folk at MS have made the decision easier for me - buy theirs!
Thanks again.
Robert
