Ahh a mini d at that price will still have a psa diesel in it so should be reliable but oil services are critical and stick too half the schedule to make it last longer. If petrol then just watch the cats as some girls at work have had tem failing on theirs. Possibly speed bump related..

Don't get a pre 2004 mini. Gearboxes are a problem . They changed the gearbox design for the post 2004 models. |

About 18mth ago I was in similar position and I ended up trading my v8 discovery 3 for BMW 520d. 3mths ago I traded that for the range rover. I just found that doing that much mileage meant it need to be a great cruiser. Doing 6/7 hurs driving in a day became a bit tiresome in the five because it wasn't as comfortable, plush capable etc.

Done the same thing traded RR sport in for a 520d touring as the boss moaned about the fuel it was using on a 40mile daily commute to work sitting in the m8 car park every day.
