hi all

firstly happy new year to you all finally my faults with transf failsafe and transf overheat have bern resolved have travelled trouble free for a while not till the other night xmas eve driving to manchester roads are quiet sick of hearing the rubbish on the radio,,,switched over to the cd player and in the background i can hear the engine noise so up and down on the throttle and its like an intereferance?? doesnt do it in the radio sound is clear as a bell,

has anyone got an idea what is causing this just through the cd player?
i had it changed a while back for a sticking cartridge,,
any help guys is much appreciated

Reminds me of the old days when you had to fit a suppressor in line to your car radio to cut the noise from the dizzy. Whether something got left out when the new CD changer went in? I'd take it back to the menders as unfit for human consumption, or whatever it is under the Sale of Goods Act! .

i remember those days but it seems weird its only through the cd player,i wonder if there is anything else i can check?
i had the cd changer replaced for a bmw one off ebay so no chance of sending it back etc
i fitted the cd changer myself and there was only plug in wires nothing missing,wonder if it could be something inside the changer itself?

could be an earthing problem with the cd player....check the connections again.. ... - .- -.

hi guys well
pulled the cd player out all there is are two black connectors to the rear of the cd player
unplugged them then back in still whistling engine noise only from the cd changer not the radio
there is a silver screw connector on the cd player is this supposed to be connected to anything else?
it looks like one of the aerial connectors on my analogue tv tuner bt carnt reall tell
the cd player came out of a bmw same part number as my old unit etc,,
but if anyone else can help its driving me nuts as im driving along,,
or if someone could point me in the direction of plugging in my iphone ill use my tunes on that it would be very helpfull

try connecting a wire from the cd unit to earth, it could be as simple as that [hopefully] ... - .- -.

you may need a ground loop isolator search ebay. .
