United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE Supercharged Java Black

This happened to my next door neighbours about a year ago and to the people I bought our house from 10 years ago, so it does happen.

When we spoke to the Police about it 10 years ago they asked what cars we drove & they said that its the cars that draw attention & not the house.

My wife stopped using the FFRR as her daily driver as she had also had a couple of envy notices put on the car in local car parks so felt better driving a more anonymous hatchback, which had the benefit of being much cheaper to run Wink

If I even thought some little skank was waiting outside to take my pride and joy, either off me or mrsblonde I'd go down armed with a full freshly boiled kettle and accidentally 'trip' and give them something to remember me by everytime they look in the mirror

No doubt for some reason it would also have loads of sugar in it !!!

It is perfectly legal to carry a large maglite torch in your car and they are very heavy Mr. Green Likewise all your other halves im sure could carry a small aerosol of hairspray or deodorant in their bag which can accidentaly get sprayed in eyes etc. I have also seen some tasers that look like a mobile phone, chances of getting caught with one are minmal unless of course you are driving round selling crack !!!! Remeber what they say, 'It's better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it' Shocked One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching!

For the GM3 BCU in my 2003 model you can see below (about half way down) that the Faultmate gives you the option of locking speeds from ‘instant’ to 28km/h in steps of 4km/h and that it can be set specifically for each key.

What's an "envy notice" ?

Euphemism for getting keyed ? .

I thought that, if its a note on the screen thats just getting really petty, I would be parking it with cameras rolling to see who it was, odds on its one of her 'mates' !!!! One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching!

The envy notices were preprinted cards going on about needless wasteful 4x4s, Eco warrior type stuff put on the windscreen at our local Tescos which basically left my wife feeling uneasy.

Thankfully it wasn't a euphemism for getting keyed.

I'd be mounting the pavement in said 4x4 and driving straight at the pale skinned, dread-lock sporting, tye-dye wearing earth warriors if I saw one leaving a calling card on my windscreen

I activated the drive off locking as soon as I got hold of the Faultmate. Over where I live it is vital, not for the bandits stealing cars, they just walk up to you with a gun and my non armoured FFRR is no match for that. We have "issues" with the "yellow shirts" who get into your car to make you pay your "fine" for whatever you've supposedly done wrong Smile. The drivers here learn that very quickly and some of our expats did learn it after their first "fine" Smile.

As for being aware of your environment, yes totally agree AND you can't always prevent everything. My suggestion, stick to safe places, use safe(r) places, move to safe neighbourhoods , emigrate (I can suggest New Zealand, not perfect but a lot better than most European places), take care where you park (lots of lights and no places for baddies to hide), stick a SAS sticker on your car Smile etc.

It is very sad to see that in the past few decades the dangers for people and kids went from mainly traffic and falling to "predators", nutcases, hooligans etc. etc. I wonder if the past few decades of "namby pamby" raising of kids has got anything to do with it....................... MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!
