Hello all

Perhaps we can start to track when we have placed our L405 Orders with Land Rover and when the cars are actually delivered?

I spoke to my dealer today and we were taking about the press releases stating that orders can be placed with dealers from the end of September and the cars will be delivered in January. My dealer told me that the first cars ordered will all be internal for Land Rover for delivery to the Dealerships as demo cars. He has not been given any public ordering dates yet, but expects it to be about late November with delivery from about March onwards.

The other thing to consider is scarcity which will delay deliveries. As the car is launched in many terriitories with only one factory producing the cars, the dealerships will have a restricted supply. He has taken deposits for 33 cars so far (I'm number 9), but he thinks that they may have sold their first years allocation already. I imagine that this would be excellent for residuals as well as bolstering second hand values.

So, how about continuing this thread when the orders go in? It will be interesting to see how things go.

Could have taken delivery 9th Jan was first on dealer list but have deferred mine to March 1st Far to many gone...

Ordered mine Nov 2011, spec'd it 6 weeks ago when the detailed ordering sustem opened, should get the first one out of the local dealr W1 Feb.
