LED lighting - need your opinion

Hi guys,

Need a Little input on a thought of mine. I do like the new style LED driving light which Audi have made so popular.
Now I am toying with the idea to create my own on the S/C.
I have bought a bag full of nice 18000MCD / 5500Kelvin 4.5mm LED's and have just tried to make a temp setup on the RR. I do not need any comment's on the way it is made up... it was only for the sake of taking pictures.
I took a few pictures and now everything is back to normal.

Question is, should I make this in a professional way and fit it permanent or will it make my RR look like a boys "french Hatchback" racer? I do not want a Christmas tree Embarassed

I do however think this looks kind of cool??

I have tried to put my "picture" link into the [img] brackets and now also just the direct link? I did create a FLICKR account just for the sake of posting pictures... Can anyone please tell me (like if I was stupid Rolling with laughter ) how to insert pictures in your post?

Until then everybody will just have to go to the links... Sorry.

I'm new to this site but for what it's worth - I will give my views. I also know a few of the RRSport yous have done this - may be worth a look over there. I had looked at adding these to my D3 but cannot justify the costs - too many other things to be done first.

I really do like the LED lights on Audi - spotted a 58 plate A4 3.0 avant yesterday and they look great but that is when they are enclosed in the head lamp -

Personally I do not like these in the grill as in the pic below - too low down - I know this is just a temp set up to show but the ones seen in headlight units are much classier

Revere London do them set within the front headlamps and they look great however they are very expensive. i believe Hawke also do them. You can i beleive actually do them yourself by removing the glass from the headlamp and setting the lights. i also think the lights in the lower grill are a bit low but may look good along with setting some within the front headlamps. i would also look at the legality if light placement as i believe they have to be set at certain heights etc but that is just a side thought. Best bet is to look at revere london and get some ideas.

RR Sport drivers seem to love them so maybe there are some pics on the other site or some commments etc worth a read

i love led lights but only if done properly. They can look great but as you said it can look like a french boyrace hatchback so you need to get the balance right. Below is a link to revere that use them. One of my neighbours has a full revere conversion done on his ffrr so i when i get a chance i will see if he has leds

look in the photogallery in the RR sport area.

Has anyone tried replacing the dull side lights for Brightwhite bulbs ( I am not sure what type of bulbs are used)- if so who sells the bulbs etc and are there any issues?
