Yeah, but luckily its the other way round: the 4.4 tdv8 is a ford "lion" unit originally created for a US-market pickup, and LR has it on lease.

The TDV8 has I'm pleased to say absolutely nothing to do with the still borne Ford USA diesel V8 project , the JLR engines were developed with allot of input from Peugeot Citroen in fact they did nearly all the work on the 2.7 but things have moved on since then and now its all JLR work on the 4.4 .

the 2.7/3.0 are PSA/Ford shared units so thus Tata need to buy them from that co-op.

Plenty of other totally non comparable cheaper 4X4 out there for you to buy two of but you can only compare like for like. |

True, Could get an FL2 and bash it around now they are getting cheap for a HSE but the air suspension is the biggest thing i'll miss as its only beaten by proper hydro stuff FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Gaz we know these aren't the same as a RR, just cheap family 4x4s with a hint of RR that's all! Nothing like this float your boat at all? |
