Wow. Bet that Supra is nearly as quick as my TD6 !! Laughing

Bet you still got tailgated by some nob in a white van.......'cos they are faster than everthing you know......

Seriously though, looks a cracking bit of kit. Must be interesting on a damp road. My M5 was bad enough with like a third of the power.......

Thumbs Up

That Cobra engine looks the business. Whats the pan around the carbs for ? Does it act like a plenum for the air ? 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

The pan around te carb will be to ensure it sucks in clean cool air from the grille on the bonnet as those engines get nice and warm in such tight spaces Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

The pan is to deflect the heat away from the carb to prevent fuel vaporisation when hot. The side panels were removed for the pictures Laughing Laughing

The top edge of the pan, commonly referred to as a Turkey Pan, matches the hole in the bonnet under the bonnet scoop and is intended to keep the hot air from around the engine away from the carb to help prevent fuel vapourisation. It also looks pretty cool.
The car weighs just under 1 tonne and the engine puts out around 500bhp.
