That's a hard one.. Looks like a Volvo or Bentley... Or if it's the rear, TVR. If its a Carlton I can't see it to be honest.

Esprit, nope. Yet to tick that box. When I was a kid, my dad was a main distributor for a "marque" and we used to go to all the motor shows. I remember getting in the Esprit when it was first released. Tartan seats, black suede everywhere, and just not wanting to get out. Saying to myself "one of these days..."
I have even been in the Bond spy who loved me Esprit, and to this day I still remember the guy showing me a mark that proves it was the real one. A charge went off as it passed and was close to taking a tyre out. It punctured the bodywork.
I even started negotiations this year to buy a GT3, but the fecker sold it.
So yes, a bit of a fan as well. Thumbs Up Previously..

Ooh, my favorite Bond film, and the first one I saw in the cinema. That ski/parachute stunt at the begining (and yes, we all stood up and cheered when the Union Jack unfolded), Jaws, the submerging Bond villain lair, the car-submarine which prompted endless shool rows about if it was real or a stunt (it was a stunt), but most of all, Barbara Bach - oh the intense yearning, even still today.

Sadly not reciprocated......by me. Laughing

New Zealand 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Galway Green

Bikes, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
The very first one (got my license on that one) was a Honda CB 500 Four, lovely bike to learn on Smile
The second a Suzuki GS1000 that I rode for 13 years, traded that for a Yamaha FZR 1000 Exup (converted that into a streetfighter many years later). I had a Kawasaki GXR 750 (dynojetted) to keep riding during the FZR conversion project. Then I emigrated to Oz and almost immediately went to NZ for a project that lasted a lot longer than anticipated so I had to get a bike, that was a Honda 929 Fireblade, brilliant for NZ roads. My only ever accident on that, due to some punk that didn't look in his mirrors nor indicate, only mechanical damage to the bike, I was fine (stiff neck for a few days).

The Blade, FZR Streetfighter made it back to Holland (2 year contract) the Kawa stayed in Oz. Then I went on a bike trip through the US with three Ozzies so I had to buy a bike, and what do you get when your ride goes to Sturgis, of course a Kawasaki ZX-14 (ZZR 1400) Smile.

While the Kawa was making its way back to Holland from the US, I traded the Blade for a Suzuki GSX 1400 (nicer for SWMBO when we went on the longer trips) and the Streetfighter went as well (had enough of playing with it).

When we moved to Nigeria, the GSX 1400 was sold to a very good friend (who let me use it for our Holland to Sweden and back ride) and the ZZR 1400 is in storage for use at a later date. My current favourite bike, if I had to buy one (maybe we are going to do a bike ride from Alaska to Mexico in 2014) would be a Suzuki B-King. I rented one for a weekend and it is brilliant !!

For good measure the blog of the Aussie Redneck Tour (I'm the nutter on the ZX-14 Smile)

Mine's a Turbo Esprit like from For Your Eyes Only rather than the S1 sub car in The Spy Who Loved Me. A white one like mine was blown up early on because it didn't show up against the snow and replaced by a copper coloured one with a ski rack for the rest of the film. Had a great day out at Beaulieu in July at their 50 years of Bond cars expo. Got selected for the poster print picture of the day outside the house with Lord Montegue...fantastic!

...and it was made on the same production line at Hethel that later made the Elise....and of course the VX220!

Sorry about the thread digression...I'll get me coat now! Mike - MPx
