Don't know the technical name for them it's the part that keeps the tailgate (lower) in place when shut. The passenger side one snapped today. Part number is 5124 7016047.

Do you mean the black rubber covered cables that support the lower part when its open ? If so they are about £10-£12 each from land rover and easy to fit onto no6 Range Rover

Well mine was done moving the spare tyre out of the boot!

Still showing check spare tyre pressure after pumping it to 40. Bloody thing. Plus broke something else hence my posts ignorance! I was raging ha ha

Simple to do.

Unscrew top plastic trim covering switche,
Pop off carpet panel being careful with bodywork, then unscrew as they come with a new electrical bit I think.

This is the part I need, the first one is the left hand one (the one i need) you can see a difference in that the top part when the tail gate is closed has a plastic part that I think stops the rain from running directly into it.

The plastic bit is the manual release lever for when the motor inside finally packs up
