Ford spec 5w30 Fully synthetic. Castrol Magnatec A1 is what the dealers use. Shell Helix HX7 is another compatible one.

Use a code at eurocarparts (you need to google what the latest one is) and you get this for £17 per can. Hellfrauds charge £29.99.

You need 9 litres, a filter and a replacement sump nut, oh and a rather large container to catch the oil being drained. 9 litres is more than a standard washing up bowl can hold. Whistle

You are right, I spend my life being a smart a@@@d p@@@k Thumbs Up

Actually, I take that as a compliment Very Happy

Surprised that on newer (better?) versions of the FFRR they omit this info from the OH.

I must be an ignorant f@@@@@g w@@@@r as well.

Here is the page from the original handbook which led me to my suggestion:

Be interested if anyone else can confirm how ignorant I am Wink

Your handbook says to use oil with the spec WSS-M2C913-B. Did you check this spec oil?

A quick "Google" will have told you it was SYNTHETIC not SEMI-SYNTHETIC.
