Anyone else find the standard roof bars noisy?
I have the 2 bar set that fixes straight to the roof (no tracks) and it is very droney at speed or into a head wind. I have to keep removing it when not needed as the noise is annoying
It seems to be worse then the rectangular bars I had gutter mounted on my old 300Tdi Discovery, but syaing that it was a louder vehicle.

roof bars are noisy, I have a set of bars on our Skoda and they are noisy as over 50mph. I also had a set of thule bars for my 5series which were noisy too, made all the more noticable by the quietness of the car.

Advisable to remove them when not in use especially if you drive at speed regularly as they act in the same vein as a monkey chucking buckets of fuel out of the back of the car....... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Agreed - I've had removable roof bars on several cars and they all suffered from wind noise.

I had a set on rails on a Jeep Cherokee once - they were only ok if slid back, but I honk it just moved the noise to the rear rather than over my head.

I'd remove when not in use.

That's a shame. I would have thought Land Rover would have been more careful in designing these accessories so they work in with the car design better. I see plenty of vehicles driving around with roof bars and surely they can't all be noisy.

If you don't need them take them off and watch your fuel consumption almost double

Does that mean I'll get nearly 5 lt/ 100 km
