The right rear light unit is swimming with condensation. I modded the light a few weeks ago as per the post on here (2.5mm hole drilled in the back, plus straightened out the vent on top and worked on it with a hairdryer) but the car has been parked up for five days and it's swimming again....

Is there a definitive cure? Failing that, is there a reliable source for a new unit which won't cost me a million quid?  2012 4.4 TDV8 Westminster

i cleaned the joint between the lense on mine around 3 years ago and flooded/sealed it with superglue and still no problems

I used Hoover on max power and it sucked out all moisture. I too drilled a small hole underneath light unseen and have had no issues since. Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

I had a similar problem on an indicator lens, dried it out first and then tried Capt. Tolleys - it didn't work.
Old chap I know suggested Vaseline round the lens joint apparently this was the standard fix in the '50s.
OK, I thought I'll give it a go (I didn't expect it to work). Surprisingly no condensation/water ingress for 8 months.

I drilled that hole too.funny thing is that it worked on the rear/right but the rear/left is constantly fogged up and has a little bit of mould growing in it along with the front right indicator.Will have to go at it again me thinks.

Any thoughts on how to get rid of the mould...???
