Hi,

Noticed a brief screeching noise in my '08 Vogue TDV8 (LHD) when pulling away today. The noise lasts only for about half a second and the car otherwise sounds fine. It doesn't occur when accelerating at higher speeds. Heard it for the first time moving off after having been parked for about four hours. Don't think it's been doing this for long but as I usually put the MP3 player on between starting up and moving off - and thus don't usually hear these noises - I can't be certain.

I also noticed than when moving off from traffic lights etc. further into the journey the noise is less audible. The noise seems to come from in front of my feet somewhere. Sorry if this sounds vague and I'll try and get a recording of the sound soon, but does this sound familiar to anyone?

I hope not, I've seen your video and your noise was much louder than what I heard. I tried to record it today, phone in hand (off of public roads), but it didn't play ball. It didn't make the noise it made yesterday. I'll keep an ear out for it  2012 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 automatic (LHD), Santorini Black
