bit of help please

hi guys after a bit of feedback, been looking for a ff for some time, not after anything special just straight td6 vogue, anyway have settled on a 2004 black, sand interior very good condition no real faults needs headlight glass and indicator n/s/f both cracked slightly.rear wiper seems to work when it wants too parks halfway down window, drivers seat base trim looks like it could do with replacing none of which worries me as price is ok and i am in the garage trade and have full access to all the equipment etc i need, only thing i have concerns about is, and this is where i need a bit of feedback is that my x5 diesel just feels smoother in the drive train, the box changes up/down fine just to me seems a little harsher or is it me been paranoid, also anyone have any of the parts i need for sale please get in touch.many thanks lads

Unfortunately you're probably not being paranoid, the TD6 gearbox is reputed to be made of chocolate.

Assume it's on the way out, if it's got 80-100k on the clock and hasn't been rebuilt, it'll be a very safe assumption.

If the price allows for a rebuild, then you'll be fine! Thumbs Up Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!
