Hi Tony Had the same problem and it is a bit of a pain to get out as the holder is held in with two screws, you have to remove the glove box and also the passenger side end cap before you can get at the screws. see instruction in the link http://www.roverupgrades.com/Range_Rover_MP3_Cd_Changer.html You can then open up the cd changer and rewind the loader arm. I then used some good silicon grease to lubricate the arm. I left out the two retention screws as it is then so much easier to get it out if it sticks again. Mine now works a treat. Hope that helps Gary |

had the same on my old car. As Stan says " hit it with a screwdriver " . May sound a bit harsh but it worked for me- it ejected straight away, was fine after that Paul

Unless you want to have a cd player (you probably have the one that only plays audio cds like me) it may be worth looking at the alternatives, e.g. mp3 player (one of those ipod things) that can be run from the screen (do you have a screen or mid unit?) .

If you slide the cover open so you can see the CD cassette, get a torch and shine it down the right hand side of the CD cassette. There's a gap between the CD cassette and the main changer body that will allow you to see which CD is stuck. Use a small electrical screwdriver and place the blade on the edge of the stuck CD holder and ease it back into the CD cassette, it will go back in by itself once free. I've had this a couple of times and it seems to be when the I've disconnected the battery. |
