Is this possible as a keen DIYer? I have an iid tool an saw on a video of a upcoming update its an option on the disco version, I am sure my ff could do with a refresh of some info as it hasn't seen a main dealer in years! |

it depends what you want to do..the current software on the IIDTool does a tremendous amount of stuff and its near update will do more...theres a 'Q&A' thread on the forum that explains its functions.. ... - .- -.

There are numerous possible pitfalls in flashing ECUs. We haven't yet decided how much we will actually make available - or if we will limit flashing to certain (non critical) ECUs. We have to protect ourselves as well as our customers...

I would just like to keep what ever is updateable.. Updated, I understand that to get satnav on the move I need an update on that Ecu, already activated it with iidtool and have the latest software and map but still no luck, has always been the most annoying feature if my ffrr! I know lots of damage can be done when a tool like that is placed in the wrong hands, but the non critical ones would be nice, if nothing else... just to rest my OCD mind a little! |

There's precious little point in only having the non critical ones. Do you actually know what versions are in your modules? And more pertinent, do you know what the latest versions are?
