Diagnostics suggest

C1A12-64 Pressure does not decrease when venting gallery
C1A06-1C Rear RH sesor circuit voltage out of range
C1A07-62 Cross articulation signal failure

Fix : Change RH height sensor. For piece of mind change all 4.

Question : Should i rebuilt compressor or replace.

Intuition : The RR is driving fine once I do not cross 50 MPH. It is moving to Standard Height and Access Height without a problem. Vehicle not dropping over time. I therefore do not think the compressor is bad, at least not the motor .. but can do with servicing


RESOLVED : This was resolved sometime ago. After a year of owning this RR, I now have a working knowledge of the EAS.

The following parts were changed and all works fine.
1. Small brass muffler fitting. This was clogged and rather than drill a hole I replaced
2. The dryer which sits next to the pump. This was causing a air restriction.
3. Clean the contacts for the height sensors. The dirt was giving a bad reading.

There are a number of potential issues, have a good look around the forum for some more details. You could have a leaking bag, or pressure transducer, or system leak etc. etc. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Whilst talking about air suspension again, my compressor runs for about thirty seconds on start up after it has been sat still for a day or too. Should it? If there are no leaks or air escaping the system any where surley there is no need for it to run on start up. Do other peoples do this?

I never hear the compressor but noticed that it had to pump up the front a bit after sitting still a while. By now I know that the front right airbag was leaking and the leak was getting worse. They removed over a week ago and it was full of cracks on the part that normally "folds in" so difficult to see while under the car.

So you may have a bag that is starting to fail. Find a quiet spot, pump it to offroad height and with the engine off of course, have a listen around the car for air escaping. If that does not help, spray the airbags with soapy water and see if you can detect any leaks that way.

It could also be an internal leak, a valve allowing air to go back to the tank and past the internal compressor valves. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

I will pop it on my four post lift and get under neath it then. I can hear my pump because it has been moved for the lpg tank, so i know when the compressor is pumping. i just wondered if it was normal for it to pump on start up.

Does anyone know how to fit a rear air spring. have done a front one, but no videos on you tube on how to do the rear ones?
