Well I resisted for long enough and having done its all really straight forward to open the light thanks to daveos guide. I baked my light in the oven at 135 degrees for 8 mins exactly. I did not paint the whole light and kept the internal chrome parts intact. I have another to do on Saturday but more confident now having done the first. I was thinking I might paint more of the chrome ? Next step is to put a clear inticator bulb in .I ended up painting these by hand using java black .sorry for pic quality but was getting dark will post more in daylight. views please

The 2002 sidelights come apart if you bake them too... I've got one at home in bits (that I replaced as it was cracked) that I was going to paint, along with the headlights (Jave Black 2002 Vogue) - but have currently wrapped the grill in carbon fibre, and put lamp guards on - thought the black might be a bit much aswell... Edit - avatar pic is pre lamp guards! l:OolΞΞΞΞΞΞloO:l 2002 4.4 Vogue Java Black Last edited by T111RDY on 16th Nov 2012 10:54am. Edited 1 time in total |
