Always a potent subject. I've got the "Luxcare" cover and have just had my RR serviced, unfortunately outside of the WD terms. I work abroad and haven't managed to get the car serviced within the "1000 miles or 30 days whichever is sooner" service window. Before I call them up and confess, does anybody think they'll refund me seeing as I've given them a ripe cause for non-payment in the event of a claim? I have in effect a completely useless policy now! I've also read in the small print, incidentally that they DON'T cover wear and tear for the first 90 days of the poiicy or parts damaged by other parts due to wear and tear. Be careful gents if you select this company, you probably will be better off with LR, but more expensive but an awesome Warranty.

I very much doubt if it will be an issue.

Of course you have a 90 day exclusion for wear and tear, otherwise as soon as anybody noticed they needed a gearbox rebuild or new turbo they would go and buy a warranty!

You can however get out of the 90 day period, and get your service history checked, by getting Warranty Direct to inspect your car, I think it costs around £50 or so. I did it for peace of mind on my Volvo, effectively they are then saying they are happy to fully cover the car having checked it all out.

Thanks for that. I may well do that for peace of mind. I'll call them and let you know the result. There's no point trying to deceive these companies as the first thing they ask for is the MOT and Service record.
Just for the record, I was quoted £1082 for the LR warranty and £780 for WD. I didn't even haggle so if they do say I'm not covered I'll seek a refund and slide back to LR.
I had the LR warranty last year and had issues with the intercooler and broke down Three times and was recovered, no questions asked, brilliant service. It seems you do get what you pay for!!!

Ok Guys,
Just picked up the car from Roger Young and all is well so no need for a claim. I spoke to WD and even though I was out of the leeway period because I've just had it MOT'd and Serviced, it's back within the Warranty. They give you 30 days or 1000 miles, whichever is soonest within which if a fault arises then you are covered. Outside of this period you are not covered but as soon as you get the service and MOT cracked, all is covered again.
