Santana originally built / assembled Series Landrovers under licence and then branched out on their own when the agreement ended.

Santana had to change a few things so as not to infringe any copyrights and then built a leaf-sprung Defender look-a-like based on the 109 (PS10 IIRC).

Iveco then took it over and it was tarted up and renamed the Massif but wasn't successful and has now ceased production.

I am warming to the Sawtooth alloys and KM2's.

You've pretty much made it into a Defender Craig, playing Devil's advocate for a second, was it financially worth it or would you have been better off doing something to a 110? Discovery 4 HSE

Well if id'e bought a 110 i would have done the same apart from the front panels anyway so, yes it's worth it as the donor Santana is around half the price of a standard 110... The Santana now owes me slightly less than a factory standard similar aged 110... And at least i fit in the Santana...
