A bit of a random one this. I bought these to fit to the car ( 2002 4.4 V8 Petrol ) for its MOT, but i've since sold the car. So figure someone else may get some use from them.

Its a set of the 4 large rear subframe bushes that join the subframe to the main body of the car. Also includes the 2 shock mount bolts that the manual says you should use to drop the subframe enough to allow access to the bushes.

I also made the beginnings of a puller tool in order to get the things out. What you would need to complete it is a threaded bar setup to pull the bush out.

Shame, just recently bought all of these from Dan for mine! Also have the "makings" of a removal tool in process! Good deal.

Not been looking forward to the job however, seems everything has to come off the back end to lower the subframe enough to replace these big boys  .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember

there is a write up of doing an x5 with polybush versions of these and it didn't seem to remove everything.

I reckon if you undid the exhaust at the rear and middle and supported it, it would drop enough to allow the subframe to drop too. V8 or else ...

If you take the rear box off the hangers alone the system will drop so its almost at floor level at offroad height

A block of wood would be enough to support the mid-section and prevent too much metal stress but I'd do it while slightly warm as the metal would be more pliable and less likely to break at any point. Just wear heat proof gloves or the cheapo version as i do  FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
