As you can't see much under the bonnet of todays cars, other than a plastic acoustic cover, as most of us on here are "petrol heads", though I do have a diesel, I thought it would be nice to see engine pics from cars we own or have owned in the past, where they were more of an art form.....

Here's the motor from my last project. Small block chevy bored/stroked to 383ci (6.3 litre) with forged rods and pistons, billet cam, AFR heads etc... made around 415hp/415ftlbs on the dyno.

As the yanks say, there aint no substitute for cubic inches! Two turbos as well? Jesus!!! I wouldn't be still around to type this! I love the refinement of the FF but there is something very special about lairy old school engines. Never happier than when we're building one.

Doesnt need to be lairy as in big boost spikes. I ran 330bhp out of a Fiat Coop with the turbo boost set to the lowest it would possibly go due to its spool up it was lie a nice powerful NA lump and had no big boost spike It was very very subtle though wheel spinning in 5th on wet roads was always fun no matter what tyres were fitted it not always the size but what you do with the size that matters FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
