New to me TDV8 should I have a FBH remote ?

Hi all

Do all TDV8 come standard with a FBH and therefore should I have a FBH remote ?

I have a webasto remote at home - would I be able to programme this in the absence of the genuine FBH ?

Thanks

Not all had the remote option.
Do you have the timed option from the touch screen?
There are numerous threads on FBH's on here.
The receiver for the remote is in the left hand boot space electronics compartment as far as I know.
Pretty sure it's marked Webasto too which should help you find it.
If you have the receiver you should be able to replace the remote of reprogram your remote.
I asked the dealer to print me a build sheet before purchase which stated FBH with remote, then politely asked them to supply a remote as I noticed it wasn't attached to the keys. Thumbs Up
Had it, loved it!

the remote unit is situated behind the fuse box in the rear of the FFRR in the Right hand cubby hole as you stand and look into the boot space.

the remotes are easy to program, just make sure that the batteries are good or you won't stand a chance of getting it to work.

the older T90 emote will usually program by pulling the relevant fuse in the glove box fuse box.

the newer T91 remotes will probably require the power interupting to the remote unit.

as stated by Dave plenty written on here about this topic.

I thought all Diesels Vogue spec and aboce had the FBH as standard? My TD6 vogue had it and of course my VSE TDV8 has it.

the FBH is maybe standard, i have had one on both of my FFRR's, but the remotes as far as i am aware are not, they are extras and expensive ones at that from L/R. Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

T91 remote £20-30 on eBay (T90 far too big to carry round!) to pair follow instructions elbow from this thread

http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic5923-60.html

1. I opened up the rear right hand side of the car by removing the carpeted flap.
2. Unscrewed and moved away the fuse box assembly in order to gain access to the t90 remote receiver which is screwed to the back of the fuse box assembly. It is labelled Telestart T90 - Webasto.
3. Unplugged the power plug to the receiver, waited about 10 seconds and then plugged it back in while at the same time pressing and holding the off button on the T91 remote for about 1 second then releasing it, all within the first 5 seconds of powering the receiver.
4. To my amazement, the remote now worked and pressing "on" turns the system on while keeping the Red LED on for a few seconds, and pressing "off" turns it off as expected while also lighting up the LED on the remote for a few seconds.
5. So I thought I'd try the same process for the older t90 remote and sure enough that worked too.

I tried using the fuse 59 method with the T90 with no success so assumed this might be faulty. Purchased a T91 and followed Graeme's instructions and I too now have both a T90 and T91 fully programmed and operational. Many thanks to all for help
