When you say your computer screen, do you mean your computer (MPG, AV SPEED, DISTANCE ETC) or do you mean your nav screen? As you mention about removing the two plugs "which sound like the nav plugs to me"

If it is your Nav, then yes i would bin it and buy a MK4 DVD system my friend...

Still confused.

Are you saying that the Central Navigation/Info/Radio "Touch" screen is totally blank?

I'm afraid you're being a little too enigmatic!

I asked and either or type question! Is it the one in the picture OR the one at the bottom of the Speedo etc?

Answer:

A - One in picture
B - One at the bottom of the speedo.

So - A or B?

What you need to initially is this,
Remove side panel on passenger side of boot.
Wait until red light on satnav goes off and release unit from cradle.
Un-plug the red and blue plugs and aerial connections.
Move sat nav out off way.
Un-plug the blue and white plugs from the tv module.
Refit red plug to sat nav.
Fit blue plug from tv module to blue socket on sat nav.
Refit aerial to sat nav.
You will need to move the sat nave to a position above the tv tuner to do the above, the cable on the tv tuner blue plug is very short.
You have now bye-passed the redundant tv tuner.
Switch the ignition on and let's know what happens.
