I have an 03 td6 hse, when I unlock the the car and open the door it sounds like a boiler ignites in the engine bay and continues for about 15 minutes - is this the aux heater? |

So, what should I be looking for on the fob to identify whether it has aux heating? |

Many thanks, should all Vogues have this or was it an optional extra? |

At least on the earlier cars, all diesels had it, but being able to turn it on and off from a distance with the remote, was optional. Irrespective of trim level. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Exactly. All diesels have the aux heater to aid in heating the large interior on very cold days - diesels are just too efficient and don't put out as much waste heat

so that means that you can programme for it to come on automatically? if you do that will it come on every day on its own even when you arent in it? or does it need the key to be in the ignition for it to work & am guessing below certain temperature? |

I'm slightly unsure myself on this bit. I thought it came on to heat the interior up provided its set on the aux heating thing. Not sure if it only comes on once and you have to reprogram it to come on again the next day.
