I know this has probably been covered a good few times but having read a few threads its all getting a tad confusing with all the variations.......


I am just looking for a simple solution to play my iPod without resorting to an fm transmitter.

I have a 2005 ff per facelift with touchscreen/ no rse/ no av input socket.

Can someone confirm the options....

At present, the only solution for iPod/iPhone integration for the touch screen RRs is the OEM LR Audio Connectivity Module. LR will tell you that it only works on the interior facelift models as of 2007 but that is not true. The 2007> RRs have a very convenient connector behind the glove box. You guys will have to remove the dash pad. Quite easy to do and should not add more than an hour or so to the installation. (see YouTube vid by PowerfulUK on RR L322 head unit removal for instructions)

Cost in total for DIY ~£300.

I have an 11.5MY TDV8 with the iPod lead which works very well for audio.

Is there a solution to feed video from an iPod / iPhone to the front touch screen / audio system...? All the hardware would seem to be there already. There is built in iPod control and the iPod feeds out video in various formats. In my simplistic world it seem all you need to do is route the video feed to the screen...!

The only LR video solution seems to be a 6 disc DVD changer with the RSE system. A bit old tech when I can hold a lot more media on an iPod.
