It was one of those rushed parking moments

Normally drop in to neutral before park

Could the pawl be damaged or is that nothing to do with my vibration. RANGE ROVER 04 TD6

I'm interested to see where this thread goes as mine does the same but can be fine for a week and vibrate the next week. On a side note I sometimes have a small judder/ rocking motion when crawling in trafic without my foot on the "gas"? Thinking about a mega flush but maybe time for a recon 'box"!

It's heavy box so unless you have the correct equipment I would say not DIY

If you have a 4 post or 2 post lift then you'll need a gearbox lift to take the weight.

Try the 2so method as you dont need the super pricey stuff in the TD6 as there is no diesel cat to block up. they often sell the lower spec JASO-B(i think) on ebay for abtou £20 delivered for 5 litres.... should do 10 tankfills for that price.

Is the vibration worth £4 a tank to you?

I dont stick a massive amount like that in mine, maybe 200ml every few weeks or even engine oil as its jsut to coat the pump and keep the injectors freely moving really. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Ill try the 2 stroke,

But I'm worried if I leave this heavy vibration it will make me need a new gearbox

Updates will be great, keep us posted. MY TD6 has some vibration whilst in drive on idle, covered 13000 now and had a full flush & fluid & filter change around 120,000. Gearbox is smooth on change up & down, no clonking etc, but when engine is hot after a few miles I do get the vibration whilst in traffic idiling, I usually place the selector in N. Please update on any diagnosis.

Only just noticed this, where are you in West Midlands. I'm in the Black Country.

I know this is an old post but my 2005 Td6 has the same vibration when stationary, in Drive and foot on the brake.
No issues when driving or in neutral.
I have 20" wheels but I struggle to see it causes the problem.
Seems worse when warmed up and after a few miles.
Anyone got an update or heard anything new?
