Drones and helicopters

The article is a bit scary if you think of the current "issues" with terrorists worldwide. But the toy helicopter is GREAT, NEEEEEED one now Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

The small helicopters are really cheap but greedy me is looking at the Parrot AR Drone 2.0 with two cameras, live and recorded picture options etc. 280GBP but in the US only 290+USD !!! (and lucky me has some friends that can handcarry them back). Only downside is battery apparently (one of my colleagues has one), so would need extended battery Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

The negate to mention such euro versions as the lovely watchkeeper!! PMPL the proper drones never ever work right! just look up the videos of when they are left to their own devices on auto pilot for the likes of the predator, some vids may still be on the tube but its hilarious!!

IIRC there was one that got stuck in a holding loop in the middle of nowhere as it thought it was waiting for a land command at a strip that didnt exist!! fair enough a lot of this was during testing and one reason why they now have people pilots almost all the time but a fair whack still are left once at altitude to navigate to within a set distance of a target and then go back to the pilot but the delay.... 10-50ms may not sound like much but just try it when playing BF3 or the linke on a LAN compared to a WAN.

The AR Drones are great quadro's though. even play ball with each other without any human interaction! truly amazing how far the tech is going in such short time frames.

Just watch out for this though when it comes... Drones are getting smarter you know![/url] FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
