+1 for the Bosch S5 from Europarts and with discount code "MBCLUB25" it make it very good value at under £100 all in, including delivery

I've just changed mine as LR said my battery was ok and wouldn't cough for a replacement but it was on its last legs and the Bosch is more "beefy" especially as I have RSE and with winter coming it made sense to change it now.

It's a snug fit but fits fine and the best tip I found on this forum was to make sure you put the bonnet into its access height, and to stand on a step, it makes a huge difference. Damm heavy though

I asked my wife to call out the AA this morning as I wanted confirmation that the battery was at fault and not anything to do with the alternator....

They've just said that it was a bad connection between the battery and the lead and there's nothing wrong with the battery or the alternator........

just had this issue of flat battery after using residual heat function for about 15 mins..
checked ALT out put via 753? function ..all is ok and then did drop test ..all is ok..
is there an option of using a bigger battery? 2011 4.4 TdV8 Nara Bronze

I have 610 200 Varta 110ah. A tight fit indeed, took me a good number of attempts / different angles before I succeeded, and being a short ar$e on an unstable ladder doesn't help.

Is there any difference between the Bosch S5 and the 610 200 Varta?
