My guess it is an actual G4 with the Rack taken off.

No mention of or obvious signs of a winch either. All the other images I have seen of G4's have a winch and roof rack, though some are not fitted with the nudge bar.

The image on my post above is from the Land Rover Stand at the Heritage Motor Centre in 2003, so you'd imagine that to be the correct spec (?), or at least a spec for people to buy ?

I'm still not sure whether there were "proper" G4 event vehicles, and also a Limited Edition for people to buy.

I bet these are classed as press editions then if they are at all genuine. Blooming pointless in my eyes about paying for bright paint, nudge bar, side tubes, and headlamp protectors. If yor lucky maybe a grille and some lights... Poo in my eyes and £13k for an 02 v8 with 47k on it.. If it was an actual event car, then it may be worth it to a collector or hardcore enthusiast.

Personally, I don't see the appeal of a bright orange liveried RR in as-new condition. I'd the RR to tell stories from the event with the way it looks, otherwise it's effectively just an orange RR.

I understand that many vehicles used on the G4 were brought back and put through LR's bodyshop to repair paint scratches, dents etc prior to selling on. This, in my view, takes away the patina of the event and has a negative effect on their value.

I also understand that at the time of going through the bodyshop, items such as winches and 'racks were often removed. I recall an LRO article of an event participant wanting to buy a G4 D2 and he knew people at LR who could obtain genuine kit from the event to put his bodyshopped G4 back to 'event' spec. Si. <This is my name.

you'd have to be a very loyal landrover enthusiast to be seen driving round it that... ... - .- -.

Interior is wrong for a G4 - the radio kit was in an enclosure on the top of the dash where the speaker is.
