You should get the green trailer light flashing with the indicators (assuming your trailer indicators work).

As does my 07MY. I recall that the facelifted ones (with Jag/Ford electrics) do this and the BMW based ones have a light which flashes with the indicators.

Both are only to satisfy the trace light regulations. If the light doesn't flash on the older ones it means indicator failure on the trailer, and on the newer ones the green light stays on all the time but the indicators flash at double speed if there is a bulb failure.

At least, that's how it was explained to me.

You should also find the suspension is locked in normal height, the 'manual' indication light comes on and you cannot adjust the suspension.

Got no warning light (05 facelift) however if I remove an indicator lamp on the van I get a warning message. Pluggging the van in also disables the ride height ajuustment and reversing sensors.
There was along thread about this about sox months ago might be worth a search Mine was a blue one! Smile

Get no warning light with mine either as stated will lock the suspension but only if it is in standard height ( when it's in motorway height it will stay that way until it raises it self as normal then will lock the suspension) but I do get the check trailer light warning on the dash when ever I'm towing and turn the engine off but all lights are ok

I think it depends on if its an intergrated one or just one fitted with good old scotchlocks as to what effect it has on the car.
