me before and after getting stuck

Went on some local waste ground today with the intention of taking some nice pictures and got stuck! Not a happy bunny!

And yes, I did forget to close the window and got covered in mud!

wish there was somewhere like that near me to cover the D4 in muck Smile

Did you just not have enough momentum to carry you on or was it just too soft??

Do you think being on 18's and wranglers would have helped at all??

how did you get out in the end?? Dragged forward or backward and by what?? another green oval i hope!!! FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Agree with Ajay(UK) the wheels and tyres make all the difference but I wonder if it was the side steps that finally caught you out???

Embarassed I didnt intend on doing it as an offroad adventure, just wanted a picture in action Embarassed
The wheels deffinately let it down, I was really surprised though, I didnt think it would get stuck so easy?
My mates dad had to get me out with his p38 v8, he only just managed it aswell, his car was drifting side to side spinning its whells and mine was firing mud 20 foot up ( at my face lol )

At least next time you can recall this one and keep the windows closed Very Happy

The thing i've learnt best about being dragged out of mud is not to spin the wheels too much but to have them spinning just a little so that the 4wd system starts pushing power around the wheels which will help find the one with the best grip when being dragged out and make it easier on both vehicles Smile

Yanking as well helps too but i dont use those kinetic lethal things just a snatch strap Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Sound advice from Kingpleb! Best to keep the wheels spinning at the same speed at which you are being pulled out rather than purposly breaking traction. The trouble is that fustration and enthusiasm usually makes you want to 'give it beans'!

James Thumbs Up
