Maybe the compressor has been running warm, let everything cool down and see what happens. Also you may have to take it a short drive for the suspension to settle down again |

Sounds like you have a "hard" fault that can only be cleared with a diagnostic tool

Gary, as you would be aware, between Perth and Darwin, (4200 km) there are many places to free camp, but no water available. So we had the car full of water cans, 100ltres, and the boot was fully loaded. The towball weight is aroung220kk, and the caravan weighs 3.2 tonne. I confess to being a lazy b , so to save me the effort of using the jockey wheel to lift the front of the vn level AFTER un hooking, I used the air suspension to lift the front of the van before unhitching. The car did lift it, but then would not drop after unhitching. Service bloke said I had overloaded the system, and it went into self-protection mode.He re-set the system and all is fine.Took him about 10 minutes total.Nice to experience an honest bloke, not loading the bill up with stuff I did'nt need.Very happy. Gary, I did'nt fit an extra cooler, and the car towed beautifully, even in 35 degrees, the temp never went above normal, bearing in mind that the entire front including radiator and fan etc, was new, as a result of a crash only a few months ago.Must say, like me, it likes a drink.....22-24 l/100km when towing.
