Faulty windscreen glass?!!

Anyone else experienced similar...........

My 2012 Westminster is 5 months old and I have noticed 20 or so very (very) small chips in the windscreen. Look like flies, but after several good cleans, they are definitely tiny chips on the outside face.

There are no similar marks on the bonnet or front spoiler that you would normally get accompanying stone chips on the windscreen.

Almost as if the usual 1,000s of flies I have washed off over the last few months have somehow taken a little of the surface with them. Shocked

Or am I simply just going mad. Obviously this is also a major possibility Big Cry Wot's that in old money

Most of them have come from driving down south...

Southern softie flies, so fly hardness is not an issue Wot's that in old money

Maybe something in this you know!!

My 2012 12 Westminster has done only 1200 miles and my windscreen has cracked near the tax disc from a minute stone chip to a crack within days,I dont drive close to others and I dont hurtle along,it was as if a fly dropped a seed onto it thats how light the stone was....now its a fecking great cracked screen on a brand new Range! Censored If you have nothing nice to say,say nothing at all.

if a screen isnt fitted properly then you can get stress points which if hit by the smallest of stones will start to crack very easily..with only just over 1k miles on yours i would hope the dealer would help out somehow. ... - .- -.

RRV you can get stone chips simply by your car sitting at side of road and a passing vehicle throwing up a loose stone without you even being in the vehicle and once you have a stone chip they can crack off pretty quickly. I've seen people who have had stone chips for years and nothing happen and then in other cases windscreens that have had them for minutes and crack off no rhyme or reason it is just one of those things.
