MOT and Repairs...... Ford fiesta.

My Sons Ford Fiesta was due it's MOT. I noticed the local vauxhall dealership was doing MOT's for £21.95 so I thought "that'll do for me".. It failed.
I normally do all repairs myself but to be honest I just could not be ar Censored ed.
It failed on the usual wiper blades etc, but it had 3 badly corroded brake pipes, so I told them to go ahead and do it.
I have just picked it up tonight and paid the bill.
I was charged for MOT, 2 hours labour, brake fluid, 3 brake pipes, 6 ends, a new wheel cylinder and wiper blades.
Total cost........... £216.95.. I wonder what that would have cost in the landrover dealer next door!
And the funny bit is, their service manager is ex landrover. He used to book my cars in to Stratstone for me, and still remembered my car history after 2 years.. So I must say, the service was excellent as well.. I did ask if they can do range rovers there.. Whistle Whistle Previously..

I wonder if it would have failed if you had it tested at a £54.85 MOT centre Shocked

I know what you mean... But it has already had the main front to back brake pipes done and there were advisories I see on the paperwork we got with the car, so I'm kind of happy to pay to get it done, what with being my youngests car etc.. I'd try and get the money off him but I think I would have a long wait Laughing Previously..
