Are the seats in the MY10 even worse then?
I thought the only time they got worse was around 2006 when they upgraded the interior and downgraded the seat adjustment.
I loved those early seats. After my 06 ones the 08 I had never felt as good.

Unfortunately I find the seats worse than my 08, I may be alone but I find them to soft and not as comfortable for long journeys or maybe I'm just getting old Laughing 2021 P400 Silicon Silver AB

I think the 2010+ model is a better car and I am looking forward to stocking more of them going forward.

5 for me.

Save up for a 4.4TDV8. the driving experience is on a different planet. Economy, accelaration are fantastic. The dynamic suspension is just so much better. I have lost count of how many passengers have commented, unsolicited, that it is the most comfortable car they have ever ridden in.

Interestingly my car has just passed 16k and had its first service, they report the brake pads to still haveover 70% of thickness and the tyres are less than half worn. I'm not a slow driver at all and my 3.6's had to have complete disc and pad changes at 27k and tyres at 24k.

However, I ran a Classic right through to 294k miles and never got fed up with it. The depreciation only cost me 5p/mile over that time. I cannot bear to think about the 4.4TDV8 and that has to be a factor if you are doing loads of miles.

Go with your heart - I do and it has cost me a fortune over the years but I don't regret it

Just to be clear, I LOVE ( L O VEE EEE LUV) my TDV8 Vogue SE. It has every toy I could want and it drives beautifully. I do a fair amount of working abroad and its always a sublime car to carry me home on the looOOOnnng journey from Heathrow.

It has taken me through France numerous times with ease, carried Guns, beaters, dogs, logs, furniture etc and still looks stunning (I have a little to do with that of course - they don't clean themselves Big Cry ).

Now, I have never kept a car past 90,000 miles, swapping them at that point in anticipation of potential problems yet to arise (just to be on the safe side you see Cool )

Anyway, I'm at 84,000, have no real need to swap and am wondering how the L405 will affect prices.

I've also matured a bit in the last few years and am less bothered about having the latest and greatest, but I do like the look of the 2010MY now.

Looking online I could get another car a little newer than mine, maybe an 08 or 58 plate for about £30K with lowish miles (up to 40K) and not have to put much in. Looking at the 2010MY 3.6 TDV8s though I'd need to add another ten grand into it and I'm wondering if it's worth it. I have looked into getting CTC to do me a facelift and basically if you add wheels to update to modern 20's you're looking at £5k to do that.

I've seen quite a few facelifted cars online and some look amazing, but is it worth £5k I am asking myself, so my quandary is as follows:

1. Keep mine as is
2. Get mine facelifted (high miles though....)
3. Get another 2008 car as is
4. Get another 2008 car and get it facelifted
5. Just get a 2010my

Anyone got some objective opinions?

Keep it (1). It looks lovely, right spec, colour etc. I think its unlikely the new model will hit the value of yours too hard, given age and mileage. 2011 Vogue SE

I agree with Nick, I have just swapped a 2008 3.6 Vogue (64k miles) for a 2011 4.4 Vogue SE (2k miles) and the additional performance, fuel consumption and ride quality was well worth the additional £27k Very Happy 2021 L405 Westminster P400e

I would go with a 6th option and get a facelist that should carry you for the next couple of years your car will look current and when the values fall for the facelift it should be more economic to make the change then. I cant afford to change mine at the moment but seriously considering a facelift to tie me over . Thumbs Up Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

Having had my 11 plate 4.4 TDV8 for a couple days after upgrading from an 07 3.6 TDV8 mapped by JE, I can say I am very impressed with the combination of the gearbox and engine. It's far smoother and quieter than before but just as quick. The suspension improvements reduce cornering roll dramatically and improve control. The interior of the Vogue SE is also much nicer than before with a much improved interface. The adaptive cruise control, now I trust it, is really useful in traffic on the motorway. With 800nm of torque I was apprehensive about the swap but had no need to be. MY23 D350 HSE
